Details of State House Call To Bahati Revealed
Gospel Musician Bahati on Friday revealed that he was called by State House officials on Tuesday regarding his performance during the Jubilee Grand Launch last week on Saturday.
Appearing on Citizen TV’s popular show 10 Over 10, Bahati disclosed that he was invited to State House because of his magnificent performance over the weekend.
“State House officials called me on Tuesday… they informed me that the First lady Margaret Kenyatta had never witnessed such a performance before… I even got an invite,” a cheerful Bahati said.
The award winning artist also divulged the officials lauded his creativity and promised to invite him in other upcoming events.
Bahati apologised to anyone who felt that he disrespected President Uhuru Kenyatta after he occupied his seat as he sang his song Mama to First lady Margaret Kenyatta.
Bahati’s gesture during the event sparked controversy with a section of the public saying he had disrespected National Symbols while others thought he was bold.
Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Senior Director for Digital Innovations and New Media at State House, Dennis Itumbi, stated that Bahati did not offend the President in any way.
