President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday evening hosted a State Banquet in honour of visiting President Jacob Zuma and Sizakele Zuma, First Lady of South Africa.
At the colourful eventย attended by a number of dignitaries and top government officials, the guests were treated to a blend of local and South-African music.
The highlight of the moment came when Kenyatta, Zuma and other officials took to the floor to dance to Afropop singer Brenda Fassie’s Vulindlela hit song.
In a video capturing the scene, Zuma is seen heartily dancing with Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Defenceย Raychelle Omamoย before proceeding to enjoy the dance floor moment with Environment CS Judy Wakhungu.
To the glee of his guests, Kenyatta unleashes dance moves that other guest including Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery watch and strive to emulate.
Meanwhile, the two Heads of State signed agreements that will see Kenya and South Africa cooperate in trade, investment, defence and security.
Zuma, however, remained non-committal on easing Visa restrictions affecting Kenyans who travel to the Southern Africaย nation. Zuma told a news conference at State House, Nairobi, that discussions on the matter “is work in progress”.
