“As you know the land currency is an important one in our social-economic development, and you are also aware that the Jubilee administration promised the land answer if it took office,” the spokesman affirmed.

Esipisu added that the jubilee administration had in their manifesto, promised to address historical land injustices noting that the summit was in line with that campaign promise.

During the Summit, Kaimenyi will also brief the nation on individuals and companies that own the largest tracts of land.

According to the state house spokesman, the summit will also focus on the progress made in the recovery of stolen land.

“We want to know whether the Ministry has been able to repossess any land that was
irregularly allocated to politicians or churches, who owns the largest tracts of land in Kenya and whether Coast counties have borne the brunt of the historical land
injustices,” Esipisu explained during a press briefing.

Among the cases that will take prominence at the summit will be that involving Mboi Kamiti and Kihiu Mwiri companies where the government was forced to intervene to stop a bloody ownership conflict.

The lands CS will also explain the decision to do away with land boards in the ministry.
