Devolution Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri has accused a section of the Judiciary of working in cahoots with the Opposition to frustrate the government’s efforts.
Kiunjuri said that some judges had been seen to be partial to the Raila Odinga led faction, adding that these judges always ruled in favour of the Opposition when cases were brought before them.
In a veiled attack on High court judge George Odunga who last week ruled that presidential votes shall be announced at Constituency level, he said that this ruling was a recipe for chaos.
Kiunjuri said that the National Super Alliance (NASA) has resolved to create an electoral crisis in a bid to take the reins of power form President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Exuding confidence that the Jubilee Party will emerge victorious during the August polls, Kiunjuri said that the Opposition is doing all it can to frustrate the electoral process because it has sensed defeat from afar.
He was speaking at AIPCK memorial church in Githunguri during the inauguration of Archbishop John Mwaura Njoroge as the new church head following the death of his predecessor.
His sentiments were echoed by the area Jubilee Party candidate Kago Walydia.
