Ngania Melissa young Uhuru lawyer who stole the show at Supreme Court
Ngania Melissa most probably the youngest female lawyer in the presidential petition stole the show during the Supreme Court proceedings.
On the fourth day of the proceedings she argued with substance for the third respondent.
Ngania Melissa and senior counsels Fred Ngatia, Ahmednasir Abdullahi and lawyer Tom Macharia were representing President Uhuru Kenyatta in a case filed by Raila odinga challenging his re-election.
According to information obtained in the Law Society of Kenya website, Ngania Melissa currently works for Wairegi Gatetua and Associates. She was admitted to the bar in 2011 and has practiced law for five years.
In 2013, Lawyer Kethi Kilonzo was the youngest lawyer at the Supreme Court during the 2013 petition. Despite her age, Kethi was composed, eloquent and a great inspiration to many Kenyans especially young women.
She represented the Africa Centre for Open Governance (AfriCOG), who had filed a petition that sought to invalidate results of the election based on the fact that there were numerous irregularities in voter registration, electronic voter identification and tallying.

Lawyer Melisa was born in 1980 and she is the last born in a family of 6. She was born in Mt. Elegon region Saboat community that borders Kenya and Uganda. She was raised in Kitale town, Trans Nzoia where she attended her primary school and later proceeded to Tororo High school base in Uganda where she did her “O” level. She later attended Makerere University and did a Bachelor of Law ( LLB). After returning to Kenya, She joined Kenya School of Law where she did her Master’s Degree. She was admitted to the bar on 2011. She has been practicing law for the last 12 years. Melissa has thrived in a male dominated industry. The lawyer replaced Kethi Kilonzo.
