Kericho residents, led by Governor Paul Chepkwony, have applauded the Supreme Court ruling that upheld President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Rutoโ€™s win in the repeat election of October 26.

Prof Chepkwony congratulated the Jubilee administration following their “much-deserved” court victory which he said was a confirmation of their win during the August 8 General Election.

“Congratulations President @UKenyatta. In the end your humility in respecting the courts has paid off,” he said.

Prof Chepkwony said that too much time had been spent on political squabbling and that the ruling by the Supreme Court brings to an end the election politics, adding that it is now time for Kenyans to focus their attention on building the economy for the common good.

“As a passionate supporter of the rule of law, I now appeal to all Kenyans of goodwill across the country to accept the verdict of the court and support the government of President Kenyatta,” he added.

Prof Chepkwony said his county government will continue to stand with the Jubilee administration as it implements development programmes that will benefit the lives of all Kenyans regardless of tribal or political affiliation.
