A man in Kivue village, Embu West has gone public with his interest in marrying again after his wife of twenty years left him, leaving behind their daughter; an 8-year-old special needs child.
Speaking on his previous union, 46-year-old Bedan Njiru says theirs had been a stressful marriage, until they decided to go their separate ways in 2016.
Njiru says he has since been struggling to raise their daughter all alone, but now wants someone to help him cater for her.
He has, however, given ultimatums, saying he only wants a woman above 35 years of age, and one willing to take care of his special needs daughter.
Mr. Njiru adds that his decision to go public with his interests was driven by his daughter who requires constant attention, thereby rendering him helpless in terms of fending for both her and himself as he has to keep returning home every so often to check up on her and tend to her needs.
In his advertisement, Bedan has urged “responsible women” ready to commit themselves to marriage to send in their applications via his phone number, which he displayed on his advert.
