Law professor Makau Mutua relaxed with politicians including opposition leader Raila Odinga at his Kitui home on Tuesday, following its conversion into a hotel.
The ODM leader was invited to the launch of Kitui Villa alongside people including his wife Ida, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu.
Moses Wetang’ula, who is Bungoma Senator and Ford Kenya leader, was expected to grace to occasion.
In a tweet, Raila said: “I appeal to Kenyans in the diaspora to invest in counties.”
He will open Kitui bus park later in the day.
