God Still Moves Mountains

Isaiah 40; 4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain. 5 And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh together shall see [it]: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken [it].

It was my second year in the  new bible college which was still under construction our classes were held at an old building near a place called Ruaraka and that afternoon I must have been day dreaming looking out the window at a beautiful distant hill near the Thika Road and thinking about miracles of God and the meaning of Jesus’s words like;, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."Luke 17;20
I thought to myself I wonder what would happen if I told that hill over there to move? I decided I will try but not untill break time and see what happens. At breaktime all other students went for 10 AM tea but I went and hid in a bush ( I didnt want my coleagues to see me) I spoke to the  little hill: I said "Move, hill. move towards the southern side" because  there was a road on the northern side and I didnt want to cause traffic accidents, Move I said but nothing happened, I tried the third time but this time more seriously but still nothing happened so  I went back to class thinking. Well It is a beautifull hill anyway so let it stay
Years later I was asked to go and speak at my old college graduation. This time the college was in the beautiful new facility further away, Yet I had to go passed the old building
I noticed the road was a two lane road now and there was something missing there ‘THE LITTLE HILL’
It was in the path of the new road so they removed with buldozers
The point here is that sometimes we pray and expect God to do his work our way but God Will be  God. That prayer of moving the hill was in the plan of God but my ego was in the way so when the time came God used the  the engineer to move it :) (Thats my story and I’m sticking to it)
Everytime I pass through that road I laugh  and am amazed at the Lords wisdom and sense of humor
