Video:Bid to bar Raila and Kalonzo from polls
Prime Minister Raila Odinga may have to be cleared by the courts before vying for the Presidency. This follows the filing of a suit against him questioning his integrity. Odinga is among five presidential aspirants who some activists want investigated and cleared by the High Court before he can run for presidency. The eight petitioners also want the electoral commission barred permanently from clearing the Prime Minister, the vice President Kalonzo Musyoka and deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi to run for presidency on the basis that their integrity is questionable. And as Linda Ogutu reports, the petitioners have also separately applied to the court to have Odinga’s records of employment from the University of Nairobi and the University he attended in Germany availed.
