Anything Angelina can do, Jennifer Aniston can do better โ and faster. Weeks after Angie and Brad confirmed their engagement, Jen announced she too would be tying the knot with actor boyfriend Justin Theroux.
Now, seemingly with no date set on the Brangelina nuptials, Jen and Justin are wasting no time in putting the seal on their relationship.
The happy couple have planned a nine-night private safari in Kenya in early December โ where, if the paperwork goes through in time, they plan to wed.
Staying at a private estate โ one not open to โnormalโ people โ they leave LA on Friday night, November 30, travelling on their own jet.
Justin is said to be keen on a ceremony back in Hollywood but his fiancee, 43, is keen to elope.
Iโm told: โBoth Jen and Justin want a private and intimate wedding, and they love the idea of eloping and marrying abroad. Kenya will be an amazingly romantic break and the plan is to have some kind of informal blessing while out there. They may well undergo something more formal in LA immediately afterwards.โ
However, there is a problem.
Jennifer banned her mum Nancy from her first wedding to Brad following a bitter fallout.
My source explains: โNow that Nancy and Jen have fixed their relationship, Nancy desperately wants to see her daughter get married.
โSadly she had a major stroke last year and canโt travel if they do elope. Basically Jen has to choose between her mum and her dream wedding.โ
The loved-up pair, whoโve been dating for 15 months, announced their engagement last month after the 41-year-old actor popped the question during his birthday celebrations.
Ironically, if the couple do wed in Kenya, theyโll be a mere hop, skip and a jump away (well, a short plane ride) from the East African countries regularly frequented by do-gooding Brad and Angelina.
Speculation over that pairโs wedding plans hit fever pitch around August 11.
Scaffolding at their South of France pad Chateau Miraval fuelled rumours the couple, who met while Brad was still married to Jen, were about to tie the knot there and then. Still no โI doโ yet, though.
Hats at the ready, the race to the altar is onโฆ
