Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau has urged former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to stop ‘polarising’ the country by insisting that he was rigged out during the last elections.
Mr Kamau took a swipe at Mr Odinga for his recent anti-government remarks.
The MP said it would be prudent for the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader to understand he lost the presidential election and desist from post-elections politics.
On Tuesday, Mr Odinga told mourners in Kisii that he was rigged out during the March 4 General Election.
“For the country to be able to move ahead, the former prime minister must stop polarising the country by insinuating that he was rigged out yet he even lodged a petition at the Supreme Court,” said Mr Kamau.
He alleged that the country had remained politically charged because of Mr Odinga’s remarks and actions which he said would be detrimental to the economy.

“Raila must understand that every contest has a winner and a loser with the loser expected to gracefully accept defeat,” he said.
Mr Kamau told the former PM to stop implying that democracy was compromised saying it was wrong for the ODM leader to tell Kenyans he was rigged out yet he challenged the results at the top court.
The MP also strongly defended the Jubilee government over allegations that it had failed to deliver on its manifesto within the first three months of its reign.
He said the government has only had a month to work as the first two were consumed by vetting of cabinet secretaries and setting up their offices.
Speaking at Kigumo Girls Secondary School in his constituency, the MP also advised the government to introduce performance contracts for teachers.
“Performance contracting will enable the government to hold teachers accountable for the academic standards in the country and to make sure they work hard,” said Mr Kamau.
He said performance contracts would ensure that teachers offered services equivalent to their salary.
Murang’a Governor Mwangi wa Iria said a move by the government to cut the Sh210 billion allocated to the counties would totally disorient county governments.
Mr Mwangi said most governors had set their budgets based on the revenue allocation and cutting it would throw the counties into disarray.
