Imagine being on a marathon race for 25 Kilometers where you have been running and pushing yourself to finish the race but you can slowly feel your energy ebb out. Suddenly, you spot your family holding a big banner with your name across it as they cheer you on to finish the last leg of the race. All of a sudden get inner energy, brighten up and pick up your pace to finish the race.
Encouragement! We all need it in different aspects of our lives and especially in our walk of Faith. The book of Hebrews clearly tells us to encourage one another in different aspects. From loving each other, doing good works to our fellow brethren and even those around us and definitely not forsaking to meet as brothers as we see the day of the Lord approaching.
Christ will definitely return soon though sometimes it may feel that his return is far away. Therefore, as brethren letโs keep cheering each other on in the faith rather than quarreling and having meaningless disputes that end up breaking fellowship. To be an encourager, start by speaking positive words to those around you, ask the Lord to help you to reassure and strengthen others by the words you speak today. Finally, even if you have nothing else to give, you can alwaysgive encouragement.
“Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one anotherโand all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Hebrews 11:25
