High Court blocks Senate Summons To Nine Governors
What are they hiding and what are they afraid of if they have not done anything wrong?
The High Court has suspended summons issued to nine governors by the Senate.
The nine were to appear before Senate to answer questions on county finance management.
The same order has also been granted to Committee Executive members who were also to appear before Senate.
Lady Justice Mumbi Ngugi gave the orders in the case filed by a lobby group seeking to stop the summons.
She said the Senate gave a bad portrayal to the people of Kenya for declining to appear in court or respond as they have demonstrated, acting with excessive power.
She also said both levels of government should act in mutual respect and co-operation.
