There is no question that this winter was hard, bitter and in some days seemed long. Driving conditions in some States turned out to be a night mare to many. Some schools were closed, people were unable to go to work on some days and some businesses were affected in one way or the other. Many including myself have been patiently looking forward to spring which by the way is around the corner. I had a taste of it today.
As usual, I woke up at 4:30 AM and had my devotion. I then headed to our club house to exercise whereby I removed some 650 calories. I then went out walking for the first time this year. Several things got me excited and reminded me of the goodness of God. Like?
- I heard some birds singing. Oh it was beautiful. How I wish I would understand what they were saying? I can only imagine that they were praising their Creator. Hallelujah
- I saw the ducklings. Really? Yes, they are back. They usually leave in fall and return in spring. That they are able to tell the seasons goes to show how great our God is. Its indeed amazing
- I breathed fresh air and it felt good
- Snow is fast disappearing. You see snow cannot stand water and heat. It’s good to know that there is always something that other things cannot stand. Next time snow misbehaves, I will threaten it by saying that I will call either water or heat to deal with it
We serve a loving Creator; one who has the control of nature and all that is in the world. I am ready and thankful for spring.
