Raila visits Gov. Rutto to bereave the family CORD Leader Raila Odinga yesterday visited the family of Gov Isaac Rutto who is mourning the demise of his daughter Emily Chepng’etich Rutto.
Ms Chepng’etich passed away on Friday at the Agha Khan Hospital after long battle with Leukemia.
In his condolence to the Council of Governors Chair, the CORD leader urged the family to take heart, noting that losing a young, talented and promising daughter can be ‘greatly deflating’.
“It can cause a feeling of the future coming to naught and life losing purpose. I encourage you to be firm and courageous in the middle of this loss”.
The CORD leader continued, “God has a plan and reason for all His actions. Let Emily’s death inspire you and your family to seek the best for Kenya in terms of making critical social services available and closer to the people across the nation. That is the best we can do for young Emily now. My family and I stand with you in spirit and prayer at this trying moment”.
