President Uhuru Kenyatta has directed police to find the killers of Kabete MP George Muchai who was shot dead early Saturday morning along with two bodyguards and a driver.
Uhuru condoles with the families of the four and eulogised Muchai as a servant of the people.
“A humble and diligent gentleman, the late Hon. Muchai was a true servant of the people and his death is a huge loss not only to his family and the people of Kabete Constituency who he served with dedication but to the entire nation,” Uhuru said.
Deputy President William Ruto also posted a message of condolence on his Facebook page to the family and constituents of the late Muchai.
“I am saddened by the killing of Hon George Muchai and his aides. I expect police to swiftly bring those responsible to justice. My condolences to family, friends and the people of Kabete” Ruto said.

Cord leader Raila Odinga called on the government to get to the bottom of the incident and apprehend the unknown assailants of the 3am killing on Kenyatta avenue outside Nyayo House.
“The people of Kabete, the legal fraternity and the country at large have lost a leader whose immense contribution to the building of our nation in the many caps he wore will greatly be missed,” Raila said.
Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale, Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jr and nominated Senator Naisula Lesuuda are among other leaders who condoled with the family of the late Muchai.
“I wish to pass my condolences to the friends and families of the late Hon. George Muchai, the two bodyguards and the driver,” Khalwale posted on his Twitter account.
“My utmost condolences to the families and friends of the Hon.Muchai, his bodyguards and driver. May God give you strength at this trying moment,” Murkomen posted.
“Sincere condolences to the bereaved families following the brutal murder of Hon George Muchai, his driver and bodyguards,” Lesuuda said.

Governors Wycliffe Oparanya, Hasan Joho, Isaac Rutto and Peter Munya Kenneth Lusaka also condoled with the family of the late MP.
“I join the country in mourning the murder of Kabete MP George Muchai & his aides in Nairobi early today by unknown assailant,” Oparanya said.
“My sincere condolences to the family of Hon. George Muchai, that of his two bodyguards and his driver. It’s shocking,” Lusaka said.
“It is with shock that I have learned of the murder of Hon. George Muchai, his two bodyguards and driver. God give comfort to their families,” Munya said.
“I have learnt with utter shock the heartless murder of Kabete MP George Muchai and his staff. My condolences to his family and constituents,” Governor Rutto posted on his Twitter account.
Muchai’s body was moved to the Lee funeral home.
