Machakos, Kenya:ย Embattled Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama was yesterday told to carry his own cross and stop involving the entire Kamba community. Two Machakos MPs, Victor Munyaka (Machakos town) and his Mwala counterpart Vincent Musyoka, said the tribulations the senator was facing were of his own making.
They further said that Mr Muthama should bear the blame without seeking a defence from other leaders. Speaking in Machakos town, Dr Munyaka said Muthama deserved severe punishment for his remarks that were made to ridicule the President.
Musyoka said time had come for leaders to weigh their words before releasing them. “It is his time to carry his own cross and stop crying foul,” he said.
