A section of Jubilee legislators have accused Coalitions for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) principle Raila Odinga of bribing government civil servants to leak private government information.
The legislators, led by Oljororok MP John Waiganjo, have accused CORD governors of looting county funds to fund Raila’s activities.
“More than half of CORD governors are under probe and others are prosecuted. They steal under the watch of Peter Munya (Council of Governors chairman),” claimed Waiganjo.
He accused the CORD principle of using the money to bribe civil servants to leak private information.
The MP also claimed that the civil servants who ascended to power during Raila’s tenure as Prime Minister are being used to leak private information.
The MP, while addressing a congregation at Embu on Sunday 6th, also claimed the Opposition had conspired to derail government development projects.
“How can you say the government is corrupt? The government is running projects,” said Waiganjo.
Waiganjo was backed by Gichungu MP Njogu Barua, who accused the Opposition leader of drawing the attention of the public from more serious issues.
“Every Monday they want to will call press conferences telling us about scandals. We are forced as Jubilee members to halt on matters of development,” said Njogu.
