The study further revealed that 7.6 per cent of the residents are not affiliated to any of the two coalitions with another 6.2 per cent being undecided.

In the 2013 general elections, the opposition trounced Jubilee with majority of the voters in the capital voting for Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) led by Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka.

Mr Odinga garnered 691,156 votes representing 47 per cent of the total votes cast, against President Uhuru Kenyattaโ€™s 695,156.

VOTERS

According to the latest statistics by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), Nairobi County has 2,304,386 registered voters and going by the Infotrak poll results, this then it would mean that over 990,885 registered voters in the city would back the Jubilee Party against 921,754 for Nasa.

Meanwhile, the report also revealed that Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko, who is gunning for the governorship seat, is still the favourite for the capitalโ€™s senatorial seat if elections are held today.

From the respondents interviewed, Mr Sonko came up first, getting 35.2 per cent of the votes against his closest challenger, nominated MP Johnson Sakaja with 25.9 per cent.

Mr Sakaja recently declared his interest for the seat after dropping his bid for the governorโ€™s seat.
