Former Kameme FM presenter Njoki wa Ndegwa dies in Dallas TX
Njoki wa Ndegwa passed away on Friday at Parklands Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
Njoki, the co-founder and host at Jambo Radio Network online station was battling metastatic brain tumours.
She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014 and after battling the disease, she was given a clean bill of health.
But in 2017, she started experiencing problems with her balance and voice and was diagnosed with Metastatic Brain Tumours.
Metastatic brain tumours (also called secondary brain tumours) are caused by cancer cells spreading (metastasizing) to the brain from a different part of the body.
The tumours led to Njoki losing her voice as well as mobility.
Our Heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.
