Former US President Barack Obama met ODM party leader and Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga Sunday at the Villa Rosa Kempinski in Nairobi.
Details of their discussion remain unknown as Mr Odingaโs spokesman Dennis Onyango wrote to newsrooms saying the meeting was a private one between the two.
Mr Obama is in Kenya for a two-day visit and started off with a stop at State House, Nairobi where he met President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Obama will on Monday fly to Kisumu County then proceed to Siaya County where he will launch the Sauti Kuu youth initiative.
The initiative is based in Kogelo, his late fatherโs Barack Obama Seniorโs ancestral home, and was started by his step sister Auma Obama.
Sauti Kuu Centre will serve as aย sports, resource and vocational training hub for youth in the area.
During his tenure as president, Mr Obama was vocal in his dream of empowering the youth globally to enable them be self-sustinent and correct mistakes made by the older generation.
The 44th president of the United States is expected to make a public address after the launch before concluding his tour of Kenya and leaving for South Africa.
