He was father to Julieย Mutongi, Anthony and Doreen Mutongi, Alex and Dorothy Mutongi, Daniel Mutongi, Clara Mutongi, Lillian and Ernest Mlati and Lorna and Wesley Harris. Brother to Graham Mutongi, Befrey Kendeli (Late), Edith Mutongi, Margareth Opanga, Florence Otiende, Stanley Mutongi, Linetย Mutongi, Dr. Kenda Mutongi, Vincent Mutongi, and Patrick Mutongi.
