Moses Kuria resigns as Gatundu South MPGatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has exuded confidence that he will beat Deputy President William Ruto in the 2022 Presidential election.

“He (Ruto) will be a very strong second to me…vote for vote I will (beat him),” he said.

Asked whether he has the financial muscle to match the DP, he said: “It is IEBC who will announce the winner not Central Bank of Kenya.

“I am rich at heart. Ruto is only four years older than me…we are agemates,” he said.

The lawmaker maintained that he would not use governorship as a springboard to the highest seat on the land saying: “Did Uhuru run for Kiambu governor? Did Raila run for Siaya governor?

“Put round pegs in round holes and square pegs in square holes.”

When asked about his differences with Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu, Kuria clarified that is nothing personal, just work.

“I do not have a problem with my governor. What happens in Gatundu South is my business, what Waititu does with his government is his business.

“The people of Kiambu are not going to judge Governor Waititu by what he does to my brother, they are going to judge him based on work done or lack of it,” he remarked.
