On Wednesday, Opposition Leader Raila Odinga inquired why the Deputy President was interested in the dam project.

“Don’t come and tell us that it was not Ksh20 billion, it is only Ksh7 billion… who are you to tell us… how did you know?” he inquired.

In response, Ruto compared Odinga’s question to a hyena asking a herdsman why he is interested in his own herd.

“Honestly, why would a herdsman not be interested in the herd and number he is keeping?” the DP posed.
