Update-A Kenyan woman dies in Wichita Kansas

 

A Kenyan lady has died in Wichita Kansas after a month long hospitalization with pneumonia. Mrs. Rose Wanjugu Muteithia died on 21st August after a respiratory failure.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of our beloved mother Mrs. Rose Wanjugu Ikou Muteithia of Kijabe Hill, Subukia which occurred in Wichita, Kansas USA on Sunday 21st of August, 2011  after a month long hospitalization with pneumonia. Mrs. Rose Wanjugu Muteithia died on 21st August after a respiratory failure.Loving wife to the late Maj (rtd) Ikou wa Muteithia. Beloved mum to Caroline Muthoni Ikou (USA), Cpt. Peterson Muteithia and Lillian Muteithia, Joyce Wairimu (Australia), Jimmy Ikou (USA) and Victor Ikou (USA). Daughter to the late Karaya wa Kagumba and Joyce Wairimu Karaya of Ichamara, Nyeri. Daughter-in- law to the late Mr. and Mrs. Muteithia wa Kibira of Kianjogu, Nyeri.
Fundraising will be held at 3152 N. Longfellow Ct. Wichita KS 67226 on Friday Aug 26th from 6.00pm
Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Wed Aug 31st at 1.00pm. Rosary and reflection will be at 12pm at the Holy Savior Catholic Church 1425 N. Chatauqua, Wichita, KS 67226 (off 13st and Hillside).
Friends and relatives in Kenya will meet on Thursday at Yates Pub and restaurant on Langata Road. There will be a major fundraising on Friday 26th August, 2011 at Ngong Hills Hotel on Ngong Road next to Uchumi Hyper from 5pm.
Travel to Kenya is planned for Thursday Sep 1st and the burial will be announced later.
