Video: Akorino turban/Muslim Hijab controversy in Kenyan schools
A row is brewing again over religious attire in schools. Last night one student had to stage a sit in at the Ministry of Education for her to get admission after the school rejected her Akorino turban. The incident comes in the wake of a case filed by a Muslim girl seeking to compel her school, Kenya High School, to allow her to wear her headdress known as the Hijab.
