I am tired of ODM – Bishop Margaret Wanjiru declares
Wednesday September 26, 2012 – Trouble seems to have befallen on the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), after Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru became the latest victim to express her dissatisfaction with the Orange Party, saying she is tired of being a member of the party.
Speaking in Nakuru County at a public function on Tuesday, Wanjiru who is also a Bishop at Jesus Is Alive Ministries (JIAM) in Nairobi said top ODM leaders have been convincing her to stay in the Orange Party, but Holy Spirit has objected her stay.
Wanjiru said, though the Orange Party is the one which sponsored her to parliament in year 2007, it is full of selfish leaders who are only interested with filling their bellies instead of looking after the interests of Kenyans at heart.
“I have been an ODM member since 2007, the party at first had a good democratic record, but it changed drastically within one year where politics of individualism took stage. I am tired of being a member and am looking for a better option,” Wanjiru said.
Wanjiru’s assertions came barely a day after her close confidante Rachel Shebesh ditched the Orange Party to Uhuru’s party The National alliance (TNA).
