Monday December 3,2012 – Prime Minister Raila Odingaโs wife Mama Ida Odinga has urged residents of Kisumu to desist from the habit of stone throwing since its is being used by the PMโs political rivals to tarnish his name during ongoing campaign rallies.
Speaking during the official opening of CDF offices in Kisumu Town West on Sunday, Mama Ida said the habit of stone throwing is also scaring away tourists and investors from the Lake Side city.
She said locals should stop protesting every time an issue angers them. She condemned the scenario witnessed in the recent past in Kisumu terming them acts of hooliganism and primitive.
The PMโs wife further expressed her anger to the residents of Kisumu saying it was not right for aggrieved people to vent their anger on innocent motorists.
She said the PM loses a number of votes everytime Kisumu residents stone motorists.
