Tribute to Lucy Kamau

Today, in the heart of Houston, Texas, we gather to honor the life of Lucy Kamau—a woman whose warmth, strength, and unwavering kindness touched every life she encountered.

Lucy was more than a daughter, sister, friend, or colleague; she was a light—steady, gentle, and beautifully radiant. She embraced life with grace. She gave of herself freely. She was always ready with a comforting word. A listening ear or a helping hand. Her compassion was not merely felt. It was lived every day through her actions, generosity, and presence.

Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in the profound legacy she leaves behind. She taught us love through the way she loved, resilience through the way she persevered, and joy through the way she celebrated even the smallest blessings.

As we remember Lucy, let us carry forward her spirit of kindness. Let us honor her by cherishing one another. By offering grace and living with the same quiet strength she exemplified.

Lucy, your journey on this earth has ended, but your impact, your memory, and your love continue to live within us.
May your beautiful soul rest in eternal peace.
