Word of the Day:Hope for the Hopeless

Have you ever been at a position where you wanted to give up because nothing was working out? Florence Nightingale was also in this category at some point in her life. At age 30, she was ready to give up and desired to die. But the dark clouds of despair over her life gave way to the light and she discovered her purpose in life and by the time she clocked 90 years she had left her mark on history; she had founded the nursing profession.

In the Bible, a certain man in the time of old had gotten to a point where he had been battered, bashed and heart broken by crushing events of life. In fact he is quoted wishing that he had never been born (Job 3:3). However, he did not give up, rather he lived through his grief and his experience became a source of comfort to suffering souls, this was Job who lost everything but God blessed him after his grievous experience.

You could be at a point in your life where you do not want to go on. Maybe your level of desperation could be very deep as you wonder why you may be going through a lot of challenges including feeling alone and forsaken yet you are a believer. Be encouraged today, do not give up, cling to the Lord even in whatever painful experience you could be going through, because in Christ alone do the hopeless find Hope.

“But those who Hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31
