State House Warns Against Misuse Of President’s Name

President Uhuru Kenyatta has sent a stern warning to individuals he accuses of misusing his name to seek favors, issue illegal orders or even threaten government officers, saying disciplinary action will be meted on them. Through his spokesman Manoah Esipisu, the president said that he does not take kindly to people misrepresenting him. During a media briefing at state house, Nairobi, the president also confirmed that he will not assent to the draconian bill seeking to curtail media freedom and will instead send it back to the national assembly for a review of the contentious clauses.
