Are you ready for tomorrow when tomorrow comes or will it catch you by surprise? It is quite interesting how most people usually say they are waiting for tomorrow instead of getting ready before it comes. Whether we wait for it or not, tomorrow will still come and the underlying question is, will it find you ready?
The best way to meet tomorrow is to meet it prepared. In Matthew 25, Jesus gives the parable of the ten virgins who were to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them while the wise ones carried their oil with them.
Since the foolish ones did not have enough oil when the bridegroom came they missed out on the opportunity of going for the wedding banquet as they had gone to look for oil elsewhere. When tomorrow comes with great opportunities, will you miss them because of lack of preparation, or will you stand out and get that opportunity that comes along your way?
“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.”
Matthew 25:13
