Jesus was very clear regarding this, and as Christians we are supposed to minister to anyone who will listen. He didn’t tell us to go and build churches and get rich, and feel good, and in exchange I will bless you. It was a clear order that we, his disciples, must do the same things that Jesus did when he walked on the earth as a man, and all those who believe and are baptized shall be saved. Yes, it took a great deal of faith, as it does now. Many messengers were jailed, but the leaders all got the message. Even today, messengers are jailed and persecuted while many are still preaching from their rich churches about prosperity, promising riches for all those who believe in God.
Mark 16:15-16
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
