Machakos governor Alfred Mutua was yesterday presented with a cheque of Sh2.5 million by Airtel CEO Adil El Youssefi, for the annual Masaku 7s rugby tournament scheduled for June 27th to 29th.
This is a big boost for the governor and the county of Machakos, who seem to be succeeding in making the county the perfect weekend getaway for sports and culture. Just recently, they hosted the Brazil2Macha festival, which reportedly exceeded projected figures in terms of persons in attendance.
Masaku 7s will be held at Kenyatta Stadium.
