Police have arrested 45 people in connection with the recent killings in Lamu and Tana Delta.
The operation involved officers drawn from the General Service Unit, the Rapid Deployment Unit, the Rural Border Patrol Unit and regular police.

The officers on the ground were backed by an aerial surveillance team in military and police helicopters.
Inspector General of police David Kimaiyo said the 45 suspects were connected with the twin attacks.
Mr Kimaiyo said police were also investigating the circulation of leaflets carrying threatening and intimidating messages in Lamu County.
The police investigation of leaflet distribution will extend to other counties.
