Former cabinet minister Dr Njoroge Mungai has died at Nairobi Hospital where he had been receiving treatment.
Family sources confirmed that Dr Mungai, who was the late President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta’s personal physician died on August 16 2014.
“We as a family deeply regret to announce the death of Dr Magana Njoroge Mungai, former MP and Cabinet Minister today, August 16, 2014,” said the statement issued on behalf of the family by his daughter Ms Nyakio Mungai.
Dr Mungai served in the Foreign and Defence ministries in the late Mzee Kenyatta’s government.
