Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua and three MPs yesterday urged Cord leaders Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka to use their international networks to attract foreign funding to Kenya.
โI urge my brothers Raila and Kalonzo to bring in money for development, instead of dwelling on endless politicking,โ Mutua said at St Maryโs Catholic Church, Changamwe.
He was accompanied by MPs Victor Munyaka (Machakos Town), Francis Mwangangi (Yatta), Vincent Musyoka (Mwala) and former Kibwezi MP Kalembe Ndile.
They called on leaders to be tolerant and respect each otherโs opinion. Mutua condemned leaders for negotiating for political positions at the expense of development.
He said the priority of Kenyans is to alleviate poverty and create jobs for the millions of unemployed youths.
โEvery time elections are around the corner, our leaders form coalitions based on their tribes. Each of them bargains for a position for themselves in the government with none asking for a project for their community,โ Mutua said.
โKenyans want leaders who bring roads, water and employ youths.โ
