The minister said the termination of the case was a victory for all those who believe in justice.

โ€œSince the beginning China believed it was an unfair decision to start the cases. We in China are heartened that the ICC has dropped the case and it is a victory for all who uphold justice,โ€ he said.

He expressed hope that the case against Deputy President William Ruto at the same court would be terminated soon. The case against the Deputy President and journalist Joshua Sang are the only ones that have remained out of six cases the ICC prosecution filed in 2010.

Wang said China will continue supporting Kenya in the international arena and as it struggles with the burden on its leadership because of the ICC accusations.

โ€œCount on Chinaโ€™s support and my visit is a show of support to you and your Deputy President,โ€ he said.

The Chinese Foreign Minister also said that his country will continue advancing the push for reforms of the United Nations to give Africa a say in the management of world affairs.

โ€œChina supports UN reforms to increase Africaโ€™s voice and to correct the historical injustice imposed on Africa,โ€ he said.

Wang said China was honest in the position it has taken on the need for reforms in the United Nations system where Africa does not have any clout.

President Kenyatta welcomed Chinaโ€™s support and said that there was need for African nations to maintain unity and have a common stand on the issue of reforms.

Kenya was Wangโ€™s first stop in his eight-Day Africa tour that will see him also visit Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Democratic Republic of Congo and Sudan.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy President, ICT Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi, Internal Security PS Dr Monica Juma and Wangโ€™s delegation including Chinaโ€™s Ambassador to Kenya Liu Xianfa.
