Administration Police in Garissa recovered gadgets believed to be used in making improvised explosive devices (IED).
The gadgets, which were intercepted at Modika Police barrier on Monday morning, included old phone circuits.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police Joshua Wambua, the gadgets were in a Nairobi-bound bus coming from Wajir at 1am.
The conductor of the bus escaped but investigators are following leads.
Wambua said the reshuffling of police officers increased efficiency at barriers, adding that the crackdown will continue in order to apprehend terrorists headed for Garissa and Nairobi.
During the crackdown, one person travelling to Nairobi was also arrested after he was found without a valid identification card.
