Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale has threatened to lead a mass exodus of Luhya MPs from CORD if his rift with Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero is not resolved.
Speaking when he appeared in court on Thursday, Khalwale urged ODM luminaries to resolve the strenuous relationship with Kidero failure to which he will lead the leaders in a walk-out.
Khalwale and Kidero relation has strained over the last month, after the Senator accused Kidero of mismanagement during his tenure as the Managing Director of Mumias Sugar Company.
In his speech during President Kenyattaโs visit at the company last month, Khalwale labeled Kidero the โprefect of corruptionโ saying the financial issues in which Mumias Sugar Company is in was caused by mismanagement by Kidero during his tenure.
Kidero refuted the claims, in a Citizen TV Sunday Live show saying he left the company in 2012 in a profit-making status.
The Nairobi governor proceeded to file a petition in court for defamation as he sought to bar Khalwale from linking him to the Mumias Sugar collapse and the financial troubles at the company.
Khalwale was at the court for a mention of the case.
