A forty four year old Kenyan man named Peterlis Otieno Otieno is currently stuck in an Indian hospital after undergoing a second surgery in Apollo Hospital. This was after he got diagnosed with throat cancer last year.

Acting quickly to help salvage the situation of one of their own, family, friends and well-wishers managed to raise a total of Ksh. 2.5 million for his flight and hospital bill at Apollo Hospital in Chennai where he underwent surgery.

Showing a positive improvement after the surgery, he was later flown back to Kenya to continue with the healing process. However, much later, Peterlis started complaining of severe back-aches that forced him to get admitted to Nairobi West Hospital before being flown back to India after the pains worsened.

The second session did not go well for him after it came out that cancerous cells were still developing along his back-bone even after the costly surgery. Though the hospital accepted to take him back for treatment, the bill has piled up to a whooping tune of 2.3 million, an amount that his family is still struggling to raise.
