On September 23, Deputy President William Ruto’s trip to Masinga in Machakos county as the guest of honour in a fund-drive led to a new family member.
Ruto adopted baby Nadia Cherono after he heard fascinating story about the little girl. Cherono was snatched from jaws of death when good Samaritans discovered parts of her body that had started decomposing.
In anticipation of the new family member, Rachel Ruto, the wife to the DP was surprised when her friends and family members thronged her home on Friday, October 2. The visitors had presents for Cherono famously branded as baby shower.
Rachel revealed the good news:“I got a pleasant surprise this evening from friends who organized a baby shower in readiness for baby Nadia Jerono who is expected home this Monday….thank you all and Karibu Nyumbani binti Nadia.”
