The Kenya event that was held at Elks Lodge in Delaware on May 28th. was colorful, wonderful and cheerful.

I do not have the right words to describe that event. The Hall was so full such that very many people had to remain standing inside and outside the Hall, just because there was no more room in the enormously big hall.

Kenyans came to the event from all over USA. I have visited a number of events in USA and without any doubts, it was one of the very few wonderful events I have personally witnessed.

It was a very well organized event and there was plenty of food and drinks for every body there.

I was able for the first time to meet face to face with Njoki Ndegwa the CEO of Jambo Radio Network and the directors Ms Mary Ann,ย  Mr. Timothy Ndegwa, Mr. Gitonga, Mwalimu and others.

Mr. Peter Gachuiri had traveled all the way from St. Louis MO and Mr. JN Kariukiย  all the way from Boston MA. Rev Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Kimatu came all the way from Springfield MA to attend the event.

Mr. Harrison Waweru who now works with the VOA and who formally worked with the Jambo Radio Network, attended the event accompanied by his wife Peninnahย  Waweru.

I met very many old friends and I also made very many new friends there..

Finally I met Isaac Kinity at our โ€ช#โ€ŽJamboRadioNetworkโ€ฌ summer event…

It is very important for Kenyans to continue to organize such events because they bring close together Kenyans who live very far away from their homeland.
Isaac Newton Kinity.
