#Tales of the dead:Sometimes I wonder what those who went to be with the Lord would say, if they peeped in to see what happened after their departure.
All of a sudden, everyone starts displaying their photos, captioned with very sweet rhymes, sweeter than they had ever received in their life time.
Praises of how they will be missed, confessions of their good deeds and beautiful hearts, that they never even realized they had while alive; because no one said it to them.
Those who committed suicide because they felt unwanted and good for nothing will be amazed, they had admirers and were “loved”. Even those who lived without clothes will wonder who bought them a suit and shoes when they never dreamt of one while alive.
Surprisingly, people they never heard of their entire lives will have something good to say.
Why does it have to be so?
Why do we cherish our people only after they are no more? Does it really make any difference if we ignore them while alive then hold them close after death?
What do I mean?
Let’s value people now that we can see them.ย Give them the complements while they can still hear. Visit them when they still have breath. Send them flowers when they still have senses, the grave yard cares less about beautiful flowers.
Sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, friends and relatives….the time is now.
Make that call. Send that text/email. Say that word. Give that complement, smile. Feed that hungry man. Clothe the naked. Share the love.ย Now, now now. Tomorrow might just be too late.
Love you all, friends!
