On April 30th, 2016 more than 400 Kenyans in Dallas Forth Worth (DFW) participated in a 5K run / walk to support Jane Mwangi a gunshot victim from Nairobi, Kenya who has defied many odds. This 5K run / walk was a fundraiser effort to help Jane Mwangi get re-admitted back to Baylor Rehabilitation for therapy which will enable Jane Mwangi attain maximum potential.
We want to thank the Dallas Kenyan community and all other communities for their continuous support. The planning committee continues to work on the way forward to help meet Jane Mwangi’s medical financial needs of $70,000.
Although we have a shortfall of $50,000, the committee is pleased to announce the outcome of the April 30th 2016 we raised $20,000.
