A woman from Eldoret is accusing her husband of 15 years of breaking her heart by secretly marrying a second wife.
Sally Chesang claims her husband, Isaac Terer, who is also the Uasin Gishu County Assembly Speaker, held a secret traditional ceremony to marry Dorothy Letting as his second wife.
Sally further claims that Terer and Dorothy held their ceremony at her uncle’s home in Kapchemoiywo village and the wedding venue was reportedly heavily manned by bouncers.
According to Sally, “Terer has been cheating and denying. I feel a lot of pain in my heart and I cannot stand another woman. Every time I think of how foolish I was to believe and trust him, I curse myself.”
Sally alleges that the speaker has since moved to the second wife’s palatial home in Elgon View Estate in Eldoret town.
“What do I do with my feelings? I don’t think I can deal with this situation. They call it jealousy, but I am really dying inside,” she told The Nairobian.
The mother of three said they have been happily married since 2002, until Terer met the new catch and their life took a new twist.
“That woman is much older than me and has three children. I wonder what the father of my children saw in her. What I know is that she is very rich, but that should not be a reason for a man to destroy his family,” Sally said.
