DP Wiliam Ruto in Brazil to Support Team Kenya

Deputy President William Ruto has travelled to Brazil to show support for Kenyan team participating in Olympic games.

Ruto’s visit is expected to boost morale of the competing athletes.

Team Kenya is participating in seven disciplines namely: athletics, boxing, archery, judo, weightlifting, rugby and swimming.

In addition to supporting Team Kenya, Ruto’s visit will foster diplomatic relations between Kenya and Brazil.

Brazil values Kenya as an important partner in the East African region and established a diplomatic mission in Nairobi in 1967.

Kenya opened an embassy in Brasilia in 2006.
