Muthama Speaks After Kalonzo Attacked, Makes Interesting Claims

Embattled Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has broken his silence after his party leader Kalonzo Musyoka publicly accused of betraying him.

Muthama claimed that Musyokaโ€™s attacks on him were not in their literal meaning but were directed at the entire CORDย steering committee where he sits alongside SiayaSenator James Orengo and Tongaren MP Eseli simiyu.

โ€œHe did not say thatI betrayed him and you should not report that. What he said was that Muthama and Orengo who are co-chairs of the CORD Steering committee should take responsibility if we fail to clinch the presidency,โ€ Muthama was quoted by the Sunday Nation.

The Senatorโ€™s comments were supported by Orengo who explained that the Wiper party leader was not in the habit of making reckless political attacks.

He noted if indeedย Musyoka had made the comments, they must have been made as a joke.

โ€œI donโ€™t think he said that and if at all he did, it must have been with a tongue-in-cheek,โ€ the Siaya senator claimed.

On Saturday, Kenyans.co.ke reported the dramatic incident that happened along Mombasa Road.

A visibly angry Musyoka told a crowd of his supporters that Muthama was working with Orengo to deny him the CORD ticket while at the same time fighting his political allies.

โ€œthe punishment you will get from these people will be worse than what you got when your trousers were torn in parliament,โ€ Musyoka declared as the Machakos senator silently listened from his car roof.

Muthama would later excuse himself from the caravan and head back to Nairobi.
