Tension did not stop Jubilee and NASA leaders from arriving at Nairobi’s Bomas of Kenya in style for IEBC’s presidential election results declaration.
Tuesday’s race was tight and the announcement will either be for incumbent Uhuru Kenyatta or Raila Odinga who is of the National Super Alliance.
Uhuru and Deputy President WIlliam Ruto want another five years while Raila, who vied with Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka, wants to take on his fourth try.

Leaders from both sides of the political divide arrived in motorcades and were flanked by security agents when they alighted.
There is heavy security at the national tallying centre.
Uhuru is yet to arrive but Ruto was seen greeting and chatting with leaders and friends. His convoy arrive before Mike Sonko’s, the city Senator who has floored ODM Governor Evans Kidero.
Sonko’s entourage had at least 10 cars and heavily armed bodyguards.

Security officers manning Bomas disarmed the bodyguards and allowed just a few to accompany Sonko, who vied with former Vivo Energy managing director Polycarp Igathe.
The officers also ordered the vehicles to drop a few of Sonko’s team members at the entrance and subjected them to thorough checks before letting them in.

Raila and other NASA chiefs have opposed the provisional presidential election results, alleging hacking of the IEBC server and other malpractices.
Following the Opposition’s complaints, Jubilee and NASA teams went to Bomas to examine forms 34A and 34B from the 290 constituencies.
The Opposition is expected to issue a statement later today on their way forward.
